Project Overview
In Line Electronics was engaged to modernise and substantially expand the CCTV system at a large manufacturing and distribution facility operated by a leading Australian building products manufacturer.
As the facility had grown and its operational requirements evolved, the existing surveillance system no longer provided the coverage or monitoring capability required across important production, storage and vehicle movement areas.
The client required a comprehensive CCTV solution that would replace unsuitable older cameras, add more than 25 new surveillance points and provide staff with dedicated monitoring workstations throughout the facility.
The Challenge
The site's existing CCTV system was no longer a suitable fit for its operational environment. Older cameras provided limited coverage in several areas, while the scale and activity of the facility had increased beyond the capability of the original system design.
Improved surveillance was required across production areas, storage zones and locations used by vehicles and mobile plant. The client also needed staff to be able to observe these areas from dedicated workstations, supporting more effective day-to-day management and incident review.
Our Solution
In Line Electronics designed and installed a comprehensive commercial IP CCTV solution tailored to the facility's operational requirements.
The works involved upgrading unsuitable existing cameras and significantly expanding surveillance coverage throughout the site. Dedicated monitoring workstations were also installed to provide authorised personnel with improved visibility of production activity, vehicle and plant movement, and storage areas.
The recording and network infrastructure was upgraded to support the expanded system, including additional storage capacity and commercial-grade switching equipment.

Project Outcome

Management also benefits from a more capable and scalable surveillance platform, improved recording capacity and greater confidence in the site's overall risk-management capability.
